Not in all cases. Faith was completely healthy as a puppy however she didn't know when to stop drinking water. She would literally drink bowls and bowls at a time and become insanely bloated and water sick. She eventually grew out of it but we still had to monitor her water intake at that time because she would do this repeatedly.
