Oh and no offense but please, please do not roll him over on his back. This only works for dogs who are not displaying aggressive behavior. It is going to take time and certain practices to get him to know who the boss is. Alpha rolls are not (and should not) be the only thing that is done to do so.

I also forgot to add to prepare him for grooming try conditioning him to having certain parts of his body touched. This is best done when he is sleepy. Do it as often as you can to help promote easier grooming sessions.
