Other than a little morning sickness there are usually no visible signs of pregnancy until the 5th week. At week 5 or 6 she should begin to gain weight, her nipples should begin to enlarge and she should to show a gelatinous substance in her vulva, like a mucus plug. Sometimes personality changes a bit in the early weeks. My Roxie gets food posessive and will even take a nap by the food bowl. She also carries around a stuffed monkey and guards it against the other dogs.
