use it because even though it is good oil it is still oil and can add
to the fat content of his body. Since Yorkies are suseptable to
pancreatitis why take the chance.
Can someone shed some light on this oil thing?

That is why I don't use supplements. I make absolutely sure the dog food I use has the ingredients I want in it so there is no need to supplement.
