Well, I do know this...Jo was itchy while on ML so I took him off of it...I never saw a whole lot of improvement in his coat or Riley's for that matter. I recently tried to use it again for the joint supplements and Jo got itchy again so I stopped using it. I thought he had allergies so I was told to try a fish based food so I bought California Natural, either herring or salmon, and sweet potato I think. His coat got so greasy and he had little blisters on his belly, lots of them! according to the vet, his hair follicles were blocked from the extra oil and it caused the blisters. So I took him off of that one and they're now on the raw diet...no supplements of any kind and they're both doing great. The only supplement I've used that helped with anything was the DermCaps for Riley's dry skin when he was a puppy but we used them for a short time and stopped when the issue cleared up. I do agree that too much of a good thing can create problems of it's own so we feed raw and no supplements.
