As far as the name, a really good friend of ours had a coon hound named Lamar that got shot by a hunter.  We named our dog Lamar to commemorate him. |

he is GORGEOUS !! I love Labs - I think the whole world loves labs - they're fantastic dogs....and that was so nice of you to name him in tribute to your friends poor dog....how sad
