Default my poor baby any hernia repairs out there?

I took my 4 mo old in for a hernia repair and a spay on friday-they said no big deal-lies lies!!! friday and sat she was fine, then sat night, she started jumping around and jerking and twitching and couldnt get comfy-well then I called around to see who was open-my vet wasnt. I checked her stitches and the hernia ones were swollen. I took her into banfield @ petsmart since they were open, and they said she had a reaction to those stitches and gave me an antibiotic and said to put the ecollar on b/c she wasnt licking yet, but she would in the nxt day or two. I called my regular vet on monday to tell them about the meds and ask them if i could bandage instead of the ecollar (it really scared both my dogs) and they said to bring her in. So i did, he checked the stiches and then i thot he was going to clip them shorter but he cut them out after only 3 days!!!! I was horrified-he said it would be fine. She bled a bit and i took her home and went to work. I came home and her wound was coming apart-and still bleeding/oozing. I took her back in and he said it was no big deal and he cleaned it and when he did it began to bleed more-yuck. so he took her in the back and stapled her. I told him I can't bear to see it, so he went ahead and bandaged her. Now she is miserable. she is crying and whining and she wasnt doing this before w/the stitches. I been giving her the torbital -but it just makes her shakey and I feel so bad for her, there is nothing i can do to comfort her.... and I'm literally afraid to take her back into the vet. I'm sure she is fine now, but this was a huge ordeal for me to bear-and I just wonder am i overprotective or is this really a lot? maybe my expectation wasnt properly set in the beginning, but I'm really frustrated. Just curious how other's puppies dealt with this-or if anyone has any suggestions on soothing my baby girl...
