I wondered if anyone has used the Southland dog training that is often advertised at the bottom of a page on our forums. I called them to inquire about their training, and I am a little worried. The gentleman was very nice; but he said a few things that made me question his ability. he said they are a no treat training. He said they use a training collar, encouragement, and praise. I asked him about the use of a training collar on a yorkie; and he told me he had never heard of a dog being injured by a training collar used properly. I asked about its effect on a yorkies trachae, and he said that is blown out of proportion, that very few yorkies ever have that problem. Am I being too picky, or does this sound like a training system not made for our little guys? Sorry this is so long, but I am really interested in your opinions.
