Our vet has Tatum on the heartworm/flea pill combo and the topical stuff - can't remember which one it is and I'm not at home to look. We have outdoor cats that have fleas - although they get treated too - you just can't control the fleas too well in the country with outdoor animals around. We've never had any problems being on those products and the vet has chosen the safest ones. If you have any occasion to be around animals with fleas, I would recommend these products. I'm glad they could treat the tapeworm that easily. That could be a scary thing!
