Right now he might be alittle afraid try to get him to follow a treat up them then down a few times & then give it to him, go slow. Once he see's they are safe he will use them. I had alittle 2 step stool w/storage in the top that I got at a yard sell for $4. I got some wool fleece from walmart & double sided sticky tape to put it on & put it up to our bed. I showed Tilula how to use them. She does sometimes & not sometimes.
