puppies nails are cut from one week old then every week as to not scratch moms tender belly...if your pups nails have never been done and you are a bit hesitant why not ask your vet to do it and show you how.
Its a scary thing for a pup if they will lay calmly on their back, rub their paws and belly for a couple days so he/she gets used to your touch then clip away...only at the hook! make sure you have stop bleed on hand if you cut to far down.
