That's why Lulu will be wearing a specially designed, hand-embroidered satin-and-lace gown with 10 layers of tulle and a 20-inch train (flown in from Tennessee) to her "puptial" ceremony Saturday at Doodledings, the Burlingame pet boutique where she first met Ecko during a Friday night "yappy hour" about a year ago.
Ecko, a 5-pound terrier, will be sporting a pinstriped vest and checkered bow tie -- but, alas, not tails.
A reception honoring the doggie duo will immediately follow the 4 p.m. event, complete with two wedding cakes (one for guests, a carrot and whole wheat version for the couple). The public is invited to fete the furry friends.
