Since you take him to work with you, do you spend much time away from your boy? He sounds like he's got a bad case of separation anxiety going on, kinda like a reverse case of a mom leaving her baby at day care for the first time. You're that boy's world, and it's possible he feels like he needs to be right with you at all times because he's never had to find out how to deal with being alone much. Add to that that most pet owner's naturally make their dogs feel like they're the alpha because the owner is constantly doing for the dog. Your boy may feel like HE'S responsible for you and it makes him anxious if he's not right there with you. It would be like your child going out the door and you have no choice but to wonder if they're OK, and not in danger. And even tho you're in sight of him, he's still not able to be WITH you, e.i., like an over protective parent. Hope I've made sense here. |
