Yes, to me the registration is important. Call me sappy but I think of the AKC registration as the birth certificate. I wanted a Yorkie that looks like a Yorkie, so I sought one with some champion lines. Now how far back the actual champ contributor is I have no idea, but I figured at least I had a good chance of her being closer to the standard. I don't think I want to breed as of now, but I may want to later. Seems like a lot of heartache. She is not perfect, but she is a fair rep. of her breed overall. It is sort of like bringing my child home and finding out I can't get a birth cert. I do love her dearly. She is everything the breeder told me she would be,sweet, gentle,playful, and very good for my little 2pound poodle, who is actually a 3 pound poodle thanks to Uma! I am keeping in contact with the breeder...I just needed reassuance from a different impartial breeder. Again, Thank-you so much.
