It wasn't important to me, she's a pet and I love her AKC registered or not.

If it's important to you to have her AKC registered, keep in close contact with her breeder
Yes, to me the registration is important. Call me sappy but I think of the AKC registration as the birth certificate. I wanted a Yorkie that looks like a Yorkie, so I sought one with some champion lines. Now how far back the actual champ contributor is I have no idea, but I figured at least I had a good chance of her being closer to the standard. I don't think I want to breed as of now, but I may want to later. Seems like a lot of heartache. She is not perfect, but she is a fair rep. of her breed overall. It is sort of like bringing my child home and finding out I can't get a birth cert. I do love her dearly. She is everything the breeder told me she would be,sweet, gentle, playful, and very good for my little 2pound poodle, who is actually a 3 pound poodle thanks to Uma! I am keeping in contact with the breeder...I just needed reassuance from a different impartial breeder. Again, Thank-you so much.
