Do old yorkies (my pup is 13 years old) lose sense of smells gradually? Her eye sight has been decreasing rather rapidly in the last 1.5 years of so due to those ugly protein deposit in cornea... Lately, I have noticed that when I give her a snack such as baby carrot, I would place it maybe 15cm away from her, and she has a problem locating where it is. I would assume that she would be able to smell her favorite snack even though she could not see it so well. I know her hearing is still well. I'm just worried that she may be losing her sense of smell. Does loss of sense of smell happen to dogs?

Also she seems to be losing bit of her control over her bladder. Is it also common in aging pups?
