roxie could be an almond roca for halloween next year (or a "kitty box crunchy") and you waont have to pay a dime!!!........ i would say contain her away from her box, and when she wakes up from a nap take her over to teh box... if she doesnt go..... confine her again...... then take her out and try again....... this method really works better if you have a crate (someone suggested it to me and it has worked wonders for toby)
As far as the social aspect of your problem....... how long have the two had to actually interact? it took my moms dogs a good 3 weeks to get used to toby (it was pretty sad when i walked in, my moms dogs would give me this reproachful look like why in the hell did you get rid of josie and get this thing? (my golden josie died in sept))......... anyways they adjusted and are fine now.... i think you are doing it right, it jsut takes patience |
