I bought a good set quite a while back and it's lasting forever. Can't even remember how long it's been. I honestly don't think I could afford to take her to the groomer as often as some people here. I myself have to get my hair cut every 6 weeks or so but it's a "luxury" I have to deal with. I think I can do enough for Tatum in between her professional grooming appointments.
Same here I give them a cut myself every 3-4 months. Good thing I don't care if they have a long coat because their hair doesn't seem to grow very fast. I keep them a little longer then a puppy cut. I didn't invest much in tools but I am looking for a nicer set since I am getting better and have chosen to do it myself. I have two yorkies now and another puppy (who won't need a cut for awhile) and the cost would be way to high to take them to a groomer. THey don't need to look show quality to me... just neat and clean When I did check on prices they ranged from 20-35.
