Yep, I know exactly how you feel.
Our house in completely owned by the dogs. You can say our dogs are beyond spoiled!!
In our living room we have 2 ex pens. And the grooming table, and there big bin of toys with the toys usually scattered around the house. And then we have two pads out of the pens. Oh and then you have the dog beds scattered around the house, I can count 10 dog beds, but I know there is more. Oh and I can't forget the corner we have for all dog stuff, dog clothes, dog bags and carriers, medicines, treats, etc. Then there are two hooks that hold all their leashes, and harnesses, probably about 20.
Then of course we have a gate by the upstairs so they don't go upstairs. And then we have the kitchen gated so they don't wonder in and happen to find something that is bad for them.
Upstairs, I have one giant crate in my bed room with 2 dog beds on the floor and a pad and a food and water bowl. My mom has one crate in her room with 2 dog beds as well and a food and water bowl. In the bathroom closet the dogs have their own section where their towels, shampoos, conditioners, brushes, clippers and all other grooming supplies are. And the down stairs closet is half owned by them as well. We keep all the dog food and most of their clothes in it.
I don't know what we would do if we had a smaller house, lol. Yet all at the same time we manage to keep it all organized and neat and clean. Of course you have to with 8 dogs otherwise it would be a big mess and a catastrophe.
So yes, at times I feel like I live in a kennel, but I woulden't trade it for the world.
