 Plastic surgery for dogs, only in Hollywood
I have met a lady here in SoCal that has a yorkie and more money than God, she is consulting a vet about having her yorkies ears repaired. Not that they are broken or anything, but she (like me and many others) purchased a yorkie whose ears are floppy. She said the vet said that there was not enough cartilage in the ear to make them stand, so she asked the vet if they could be "lifted" (she has had more than a couple of lifts herself), and the vet said yes, and that he would only charge $600 to remove cartilage from one place and place it in the dogs ears!!!!! She could purchase a bakers dozen yorkies, but she is attached to this one and wants him to look "normal". When I said that I thought that was a little over the top, she countered with it is no different than if you had a child with large protruding ears, or a bad nose, having it fixed. What is your opinion, am I being too sensitve or too naive to think that this is out of line? Thanks |
