I truly believe she is a big fake. I don't think she 'bites'....I think it is more of a threat.....making big snarly noises to intimidate.
It's funny that she only does this at home. When we are out and about, she allows others to touch her. I am the one that doesn't want them to. So far, I have managed not to growl or snarl at anyone, but that might not
always stay that way.
