AWWWW! Poor Tilly. When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought it was the same thing that happened a few years ago, and is still happening. The brokers who load up vans with the puppies from the mills and are sending them to pet stores in the East were exposed on National TV some time ago. The drivers were told NOT to try to do anything to save a puppy who became sick during the trip stacked in crates with no ventilation and no way to get away from danger from other puppies-well or sick. They were told to throw the puppies in garbage cans at rest stops, even if they were not dead yet!!! Also, the paperwork was supposedly NOT discarded so it was hard to tell which paper belonged to which puppy. A driver undercover said it happens all the time.
Also, millers discard their castoffs after they are bred out..
