When she does get her innoculation for this, it is my understanding the the intranasal one is a live virus and many dogs do react to it by getting the virus. The vaccination is not live, but requires two vaccines for effectiveness. It is a bear to get rid of and more a nuisance, though the risk is development pneumonia. Don't want to start an argument but want to be clear on this. My vet told me that the bordatello nasal vaccine was a once a year thing whereas the bordatello shot needed two vaccine shots per year, the second being a booster. Now you have me wondering???? I never gave my dogs the shot or nasal vaccine but they were never around other dogs but now that we take them everywhere we go and as you said it is airborne, we give them the nasal once a year at their annual. Neither of them have come down with kennel cough as a result of the nasal vaccine but I realize some do and need to be treated!
Marcerella02, How is your baby? What did the vet say?
