Mine are not trained to go outside, so I can only comment on puppy pad training, but if he has pads in the house and is forgetting where they are, I would not give him free reign of the entire house at this point. I started with a small area and then gradually let them have more and more of the house by using an expandable ex pen. I also used the Puppy Housebreaking Aid (drops) made by Four Paws that I got at PetSupermarket. They worked really well bc you put them in the center of the pad and the smell makes them want to potty on the pad.

As far as eating the poop... I have read where the poop still has the "odor" of food and that is why they eat it! I never had this problem with my male, but when I first brought my female home she would try to eat his poop (UGH!)... so I just made sure to keep a closer eye on the pads and flush it as soon as I saw it!
