Don't feel sorry for asking... mama was too young. It was only her second heat and she was just over a year. I felt so bad because I didn't know, so I don't think she got the extra pampering she deserved. And, the worst part of all I wasn't there for the labor to help her through it. I am a mom myself and can't imagine doing it alone = ( Last, because I had no idea what I was doing. I had read a lot about breeding but I wasn't ready yet ~ that is for sure! But, she came and we are glad. We did learn that we can not be breeders because even if Lilly had 5 puppies I would have had a really hard time giving them up to new homes. Thanks for asking!!
