I am still in high school and getting ready to graduate. I will be going to college but i plan on commuting. I really want to add a yorkie to my life. There are two other breeds I love but neither of them come close to how much I love yorkies. Thank you for your help.
If your looking at getting involved in a breeding program with Yorkies, you should be looking for a Quality Yorkie from a breeder who has been working in the breed for years and you should be doing research for a breeder that can help mentor you. You are young and don't seem you have a lot of time on your hands to spare with college coming up.
I would save up and invest into a really nice line so when you have your first litter you will be on the right path from the beginning.
Seems alot of pet breeders on this forum selling pets to bred with open reg etc. Breeding should be taken very seriously and responsibly.
And only the best dogs should be bred, not just breeding lil fifi to lil joey because you want to have puppies. More thought should be put into it.
This surely doesn't make for preserving this breed we all love.
This concerns me for the future of the bred.
