I wash mine after each use for the same reason- they tend to get a little pee pee on them.
Edited to add: that applies mostly to my boys. Gracie has always hated clothes but I do force her into a dress every once in while, mostly holiday gatherings. If she's only worn a dress in the house for a short period of time, I don't always wash it. She doesn't get pee pee on her clothes like the boys do either.
