I have two girls that weigh 3 lbs each and they are in great health. One of them is 6 years old and one is 4 years old. Never had any problems with either of them since they were puppies. One of them quit eating when I got her. I had to force feed her for 3 days and then she started eating and has done great. They are just as healthy as some of my bigger Yorkies.
