I can totally relate to your proud moment! Tia was not able to go up the stairs in our house until just last week. I had left her on the main floor while I went up to put away laundry. I looked down and there she was at my feet! Now, a week later....going up is no problem....but going down is something else all together! She'll cry at the top for someone to bring her down. I've been teaching her slowly, helping with depth perception. I I leave her alone and encourage her, she'll make it part of the way. Wen to the vet yesterday and found out that right now for her age and sixe (12 weeks and 1.1 kg) she should be carried down the stairs because it could be bad for her back. In her words: yorkies should be encouraged to walk as much as possible and to live a horizontal life.

I teach her to go down anyway...I like knowing that she could do it if she needed/wanted to.

Congrats! Isn't it amazing? I'll be a little sad when she's all grown up...puppyhood is so much fun!
