Smile Question about possible breeding

Ok up front I want to say I have no idea about breeding issues. Please do not jump down my throat for asking questions. I am simply thinking ahead and I do not know what I am going to do. I would like the breeders and knowledgable folks to give me their honest opinion.

Ok I am looking at getting another yorkie. I have made no decisions about this yet and don't know when I will get one, but I know I want another one.

Before I get one I have decided that maybe I should think about one that I can breed in the future (only because I see myself wanting a 3rd yorkie down the line). Anyway my question is, would it be best to get a female or a male for breeding? Health wise is a male best or female?

I mean how does a "stud service" work? Do you get to pick a puppy if you have a good AKC registered stud, or does someone just pay you for your stud? Asking as I have seen ads for that sort of service. Again I know absolutely nothing. That is why I am asking and researching ahead of time.

Is a female best because I will have all the pups and can choose what I want and find good homes for the rest?

I hope all of this makes since. I don't think I have worded my thoughts correctly but I hope you can understand what I am asking. Please let me know what you think. Please be nice. I hope I have not offended anyone, I don't mean to if I do. I don't know what would be offensive above but I just don't want anyone to take this out of context at all.
Thanks!
