I keep a bottle of diluted Cowboy Magic Detangler and mist lightly before brushing -- no static at all that way. I was noticing my own hair getting a lot of static built up -- I could hear the crackling as I brushed. So, I admit it -- I used a little of the CM diluted mist and mine laid down nicely the rest of the day!
