Do you know when she started her series of shots? If the first series was before 8-9 weeks, the vets don't count this. Their position is anything given prior to 8 weeks does the pup no good since the mother's antibodies are still in their system, and even more so if they weren't weaned before 6 weeks.
I just went through this with my vet with Angel cause I was told if the vaccines begin after 8 weeks (she was 9 weeks), then 3 rounds is all they need, plus the rabies and bordatella. I was informed that they strongly recommend 4 full series after 8 weeks of age. Angel also will not get her rabies will 6 months. And I am having them separate the distemper and lepto vaccines.
