I agree. We can't know what is going on in people's lives that we don't even know. Maybe they are having health problems or financial problems have come up or sick with mental health issues... the list goes on. If they take the time to find the dog a GOOD home, I think that is better than dumping them off at a humane society. Also, there are people who view dogs as just dogs - not a big part of the family or anything and they don't get real attached to them, so then it's not hard to rehome them.... not everyone feels about their dogs they way most (or all) of us here on YT do.
