I don't think that there is anything wrong with a dog being outside. My daughter is allergic to dogs that shed and so our lab and golden retriever stays outside. They are very happy and healthy and they go to work with my husband sometimes too. I think that it is silly to think that if you don't keep a dog inside then you shouldn't have one. I think that at least they have freedom to run and play outside, some people leave their dogs in the house all day while they are at work and to me that is much worse than being outside especially if they are big dogs. But thats just my opinion...

I agree that Bigger dogs like to be outside. One of the main reasons I got a Yorkie is I live in an apartment and thought it would be cruel to keep a Pitt in such a small area and inside all the time. Bigger dogs need a lot of space and like to be in a yard. I'm not saying dont let them come inside for sleeping or to enjoy the family. I think the biggest thing is spending time with them regardless of being inside or out.
