Hey there. So I took Hector to the Vet yesterday afternoon and she says it has not moved into pneumonia. Thank God!! I was terrified of that. He is still on clavamox for a few more days, sleeps in the bathroom at night with a humidifyer and gave me the Robitussin info for his cough. He seems to be doing better, his lungs are clear he just has all that flem which I think the vet is hoping will clear up soon.
I am so sorry to hear about your little Kiwi. It is so hard when they are little. I do think the humidifyer helps. I put Hector in the bathroom with it. It is a small closed space and it helps him to breathe and clear his lungs. I am in Colorado though where we have no humidity and have to make our own.
Please let me know how Kiwi is doing. I would just watch like a hawk. Eating good and activity level are great signs. The vet told me there is a bacterial component which the clavamox is for, but there is also a viral component which their immune systems have to fight on there own.
Good luck and all my best! |
