The carrier has some hair in it & needs cleaned w/a roll lint remover but as far as wear- it is in new condition. A little one could actually use it as a bed & carrier, it has a harness clip & bell so you know if your little one is up & about. The bed was washed once. It opens with velcro to place a heating pad inside (heating pad not included) Great for tinies or puppies
