I think that it's perfectly acceptable of the airlines to ask that a pet remains in it's carrier at all time. It's too risky to be up in the air to have anything happen.. and i'm sure it's also for the safety of our pets.

But, I think that we should be allowed to hold the carrier on our lap.. with it fully closed of course, that way our pups can feel more secure knowing that we are there with them.
