That's the way it is here. My girl's were/are always too busy. Of course, once they wear out, they'll hit the lap for a bit if they can happen to find me sitting (which is seldom).
That may be another difference. Some people don't sit a lot and it's kinda hard to be a lap doggie if you don't have a lap to get in!
