I don't clip my two yorkies nails...I'm too afraid I'd get a bleeder and hurt them I let the groomer trim their nails once every two weeks and they both do great with him. I'm there the entire time and they are really calm about it. I guess they can sense that he knows what he's doing and I don't! If I go to the vet in between their grooming appts. My vet will normally nip a bit of their nails too. I find it's easier to
keep them shorter by just barely nipping them all the time then letting them grow relaly long and having to have them cut more and risk getting a bleeder. Jewelina has never had a bleeder since I got her and Jaden has only had one, after that we started having the groomer do it!
