Just like SONYSW, pick a method and stick. Max is outside trained. It took about 3 intense weeks and he knew what his job was. Occasional accidents are very rare now at 10 months. I take him out every two hours during the day because he is so active. He goes 8-9 hours at night with no problem. He is confined to the kitchen when I can't watch him and is allowed in the rest of the house under full supervision only when I know he has done his "business". Crate puppy when not at home and take him out frequently when you're home. We do not play outside... it is business only until he is 100% reliable. Good luck to you
