Idk if you saw the last episode, but the guy meredith was working on accidently pushed her in the water and a little girl was there. So in this episode McDreamy asked the little girl for meredith and she pointed him to the water and he went in and brought her back out and they took her to the hospital. At the hospital he kept trying to revive her and they made him leave the room. At the end of the episode she died and woke up next to Denny and the bomb squad guy.
