Thank you for your response... my adult female is already potty trianed. She just had a puppy that needs a safe place to be. I am buying a crate large enough for her to move around as a puppy and a potty pad has to be in there for a while because she is way to young to train.

The potty pad won't stay in there... I train my dogs to go outside... but I won't even attempt that until my puppy is at least 8 weeks (currently 3 weeks).

Since it is such a large investment I will put a large bed in there for them for future use. It kind of like is a e-pen but the puppy won't have access to my carpet = )

I guess it is going to serve as a whelping box for a few more weeks and then just a place for them to rest. It has a divider so I can make it any size I need. I know I have seen others on Yorkietalk that have used this type of crate but I can't find the threads!!!
