When we groom new puppies sometimes they scream and act like that the first time or two. The most important thing is to not give up and don't get upset. Being calm and assertive is key. Hold on and do whatever you need to do. Or at least pretend to. If you are cleaning his eyes, for example, go thru the motions even if you are not successfully getting the gunk off. Keep your voice calm and wait him out. Don't get mean, just firm and calm. He will eventually tire out and calm down (maybe only for a few seconds). When he is calm, immediately praise him and stop. Always stop on a good note. It may take a couple times but soon you will go to clean his eyes and he will surprise you and just stand there like a good little boy.
