You do not pay 8%. They are trying to rip you off. Demand the full refund, and in the meantime, contact your credit card company to have the charges challenged. They don't like having cc companies do that because that company will be charged "chargeback" fees. This usually lights the firecracker under them (so to speak). Good luck.
