My first choice would be to hire a house/pet sitter to come stay at your home so your pup can stay in familiar surroundings. It will be hard enough on him not seeing you for four days. If that's not possible, then you might want to consider taking him with you and putting him in a doggie daycare in Baltimore while you can't be with him. That way, he'll be in good hands from the time he leaves your hands until you get him back. He can still be with you all evening and night and you could come and get him for a walk at luchtime. That's what I would try to do. I truely wish you luck! Also, make sure he flies in the cabin with you and not in baggage hold.
