We got Sophie in November, thinking the same thing...that our one year old Topher was lonely and bored. It was the best decision that we've ever made.
They do have their moments when they fight over toys (Topher likes to think that all of the toys should be HIS so there's usually a squabble when the toys are hauled out)
But Sophie stands her ground.....even though the size difference between them is huge. Topher is around 12lbs and Sophie is 3.5lbs!
For the most part, they get along so well....Sophie is Topher's little shadow.
It sure brings alot of joy to my heart when I see them snuggled up to one another or when Topher is cleaning Sophie's face in the morning.
I find that it's really not any more work having two..actually, if anything, it's a bit less 'cause they do entertain one another.
Good luck with your decision. You'll find that you have lots of love in your heart for another pup and the joy that you experience is X2!
