No crazier than it would be were you leaving any small, dependent child behind (all alone without its mommy who had gone off with the "skin-kid" to have a really good time without it).
I always say: Nothing is so bad that it can't be made worse by a little guilt thrown on top!
Seriously, go have fun with your daughter. The pupster will be fine. Look at all the adventures you've arranged for him with all of his various puppy sitters!
(And, I want to let you know that I feel the exact same sense of guilt when I have to travel on business....Of course, that is BUSINESS...something I must do to keep a roof over our heads and kibble in the dishes. Not like you at all who are just abandoning the baby....
