My sweet Sassy is in for spay today. I did check with the vet about the anesthesia they will use and it is isoflurane and I was glad for that. I also ordered the blood test that they can do to see if she can handle the anesthesia. They said it is about 40 dollars...I don't care...just do it. I should be picking her up around 2:00 this afternoon.
She was so scared to be there that she got hic-cups. There was also a
HUGE bulldog there that wanted her. Scared me. The girl that had him could barely hold him back....she had a baby on one hip and the bulldog leash in the other hand. Whew!! Of course, she said "He won't hurt her. He likes little dogs."
HA! Be still, my heart.
Since she couldn't have anything to eat or drink past midnight, I tried and tried to get her to drink and eat before then. Nope. No way. Then, at the stroke of midnight, she wanted to. AAArrrggghhh!! Kept me up until 2 in the morning trying to persuade me. Then when we got up she begged and begged. I felt just terrible!!
So....here I am, just waiting for 2:00. I would try to take a nap if I could so the time would seem to go quickly, but I am just too nervous.
She is soooo tiny.
