I'm really not worried though. I think my tiny 6lb cat will be the one to react the most if a puppy came at her, but she'd most likely run away to avoid it.
We had a five week old kitten in our home for two weeks, and I let it roam around the last two days after I had it tested, and it had it's first shots. (we adopted it out)
My Yuki (the bengal) was *very* curious about it, but pretty gentle. He mostly walked over to it, then ran away, walked over to it, ran away, and then tried to play. He seemed to understand that it was a baby, although he did make it fall down a couple of times. :P
My third cat held the kitten down and gave it a bath, lol... she'd probably be the same way around a puppy, if it is smaller than she is. (and she is around 14lbs) |
We live in the country on a mountain. The "city" is about 15 miles away. Our cat loves to run and play outside. He use to beg to go out even after he was fixed.I don't regret putting him out becuase he had started to become destructive. He was starting to claw everything in site and nothing we bought him or did for him would get him to stop. We have a very nice living room set that he had set his sites on. So between that and Diesel something had to give. He is a much happier cat now. To be honest he is even more lovable than he use to be. |
