I believe open registration basically means "breeder rights". If you are only given "limited registration" (which I believe is what most breeders give) you cannot register any puppies from her/his litters. I am not a Yorkie breeder, but used to breed and show Persian cats, and I know it was very difficult to get a reputable breeder with good bloodlines to give full registration, at least that was my experience with cats. :-) |
