I know the driving up around Chicago can get very treacherous -- glad you made the wise decision to come back home. I used to live in Northbrook and those were the coldest winters in my memory! I remember having to go into Chicago for work, parking my car, trying to walk down the snowy/icy sidewalk, and then getting slammed up against a brick building by a wind gust. My cheek was all scraped -- you could see the ridges from the brick imprint for weeks. I think I might have made my decision to retire in the south that very day! |
